OffGridNav Privacy Policy

OffGridNav is provided by Todd Durica, using the Interexact name. This policy describes the OffGridNav mobile app and its county-pack download service.

Location and navigation stay on your device

With your permission, OffGridNav uses your location to show your position, suggest nearby available county packs, and provide route guidance. Location, address searches, destinations, saved places, and route calculations are handled on your device; the app does not upload them to our county-pack service.

You can change location access in your device’s Settings. You can browse county packs and plan a route with a manually selected start without granting location access.

County downloads and security

The app connects to our service to retrieve the county catalog, artwork, and packs. Like other internet services, our infrastructure receives your IP address and technical request information, such as the requested file, request time, and response status. We use technical information to deliver downloads, troubleshoot failures, limit abusive traffic, and protect the service.

Security records may retain IP addresses, offense times, and ban reasons. They are kept for service protection and removed as the configured security windows expire. Infrastructure providers may process technical records to operate and secure their services.

Data stored on your device

Downloaded packs, saved places, route state, and settings are stored locally. You can remove downloaded packs in Active Data and remove saved places in Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data; device backups and copies you export are controlled by your device and backup settings.

Voice and exports

Voice guidance uses your device’s speech engine. OffGridNav does not record your microphone. If you export directions, the files are shared only through the destination you choose. Copies you save or send are subject to that destination’s privacy practices.

No advertising or tracking

OffGridNav has no advertising or advertising trackers. It does not require an account. We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-app advertising.

Support and service providers

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond. Our hosting and email providers process information needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service.

For privacy questions or requests concerning information you have sent us, email hello@interexact.com. Please do not send private route or location information unless needed for your request.

Changes to this policy will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
